Growing up with dogs at home, I always saw them as part of the family. Now, as an adult often surrounded by kids at school or in others’ homes, my love for dogs hasn’t changed.
Just like raising a child can be both challenging and fulfilling, so can caring for dogs.
And so far, the grooming part has been a challenge. Considering I also work in addition to doing the usual errands, I don’t always have the luxury of time to groom my pets myself.
That’s why I decided to look for mobile dog grooming services in Liverpool, so I no longer have to travel just to give my fur babies a spa day. Fortunately, I found some of the best ones that I won’t hesitate to share with you.

It was my friend who recommended Stephanie’s Mobile Dog Grooming to me. Stephanie herself has been my friend’s groomer for Tara, a Pekingese, for the last two years.
As many clients mentioned, Stephanie responds to DMs and comments as soon as she can. Her dog grooming service includes cat and dog grooming visits. She also offers dog walking services as long as there’s prior notice.
On the downside, though, she doesn’t offer baths or drying as she does her work in her client’s house, not inside the vehicle. So, you have to find a spot in your home to do the dog grooming.
But I can really tell that she knows what she’s doing, as evidenced by glowing customer reviews and the dogs’ adorable smiles.
However, she only does grooming for small to medium dog breeds at most. She might also be unavailable on some days, although she advises of any schedule changes in advance through her page.

Margie Henigan, owner of Home From Home Dog Groomers, is more than your typical lovely and welcoming grandma from Liverpool. She is also very hands-on in handling their pooch clients of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
I appreciate that she offers the usual grooming services—bathing, clipping, de-matting, nail clipping, and more—at reasonable prices.
Aside from brand-new dog grooming equipment, your furry one will be treated like royalty the moment their paws touch the grooming table, up to the last nail trimmed.
Margie is friendly and patient with her furry clients. I noticed how thorough and efficient she is with them. She’s even knowledgeable about dog care and makes it a point to share her tips with her clients.
I also appreciate her swift response to inquiries. The only downside for me is that she is unavailable every Friday and Sunday. People are usually free on weekends, so scheduling a dog grooming session on these days may be impossible.

If you are looking for a mobile dog grooming service with friendly and experienced personnel and exceptional service, I would really recommend Boss Dog.
What I like about Boss Dog is that they offer a self-sufficient grooming van equipped with top-of-the-class tools and equipment. So, you know your pets are safe and treated like VIPs.
I like how they listen and understand the dog’s health issues, if any, and ensure to get the job done perfectly. Their clients will surely agree with the quality of work and how their pups smell and look fresh after grooming.
Aside from that, Boss Dog is based in Kirby but can service within a 15-mile radius. Still, that could be a concern if you want to schedule a grooming session, but you’re living outside the service area.
They also only have a few reviews online, which is important for me when deciding whether to avail myself of a product or service.

Mucky Mutz offers a one-on-one dog grooming service, which I like, as someone who prefers a dog groomer tending to one dog at a time.
They also offer comprehensive grooming services, including dental care, ear cleaning, and trimming. I love that it’s not only me who appreciates Mucky Mutz’s teeth cleaning service, because many former clients praise the team for always ensuring safe procedures.
And what’s especially impressive is that all the groomers are Japanese-trained. I felt completely reassured knowing my dog was in expert hands.
Additionally, owned by Angela, who has more than 10 years of dog grooming experience, Mucky Mutz ensures top-notch quality of dog grooming.
On the downside, though, they may not cater to larger breeds. They mostly prefer smaller breeds due to limited space for grooming.
Dematting is also limited to only 15 minutes as per policy. Additionally, you can expect to pay an extra fee for severe matting.

What I like most about Her of the Dog is their £30 starting rate, which varies depending on the dog breed and other factors. And with Liverpool’s competitive market, I thought it was reasonably priced. `
In terms of services, I like that they offer not just quality dog grooming services but also a calm environment for your dogs and convenience for owners like me. It’s good to know that they will prioritise one dog at a time to ensure 100% care and focus for your dog.
Just note that they only offer in-home grooming rather than van-based mobile grooming.
Apart from the usual grooming services, Her of the Dog also offers a pet bakery with dog treats and gifts for both pets and their owners.
Their pop-in service is also super handy. It’s perfect for when you’re out and want peace of mind. They also do care visits for cats, puppies, and senior pets, which is great if your furry friend needs a little extra attention while you’re away.
