How much does a cheap hotel accommodation cost in Liverpool?
A cheap hotel accommodation in Liverpool costs between £29 and £53 per night. However, the price may vary depending on the season, the type of room you’ll reserve, and the amenities included.
1. School Lane Hotel

Address: 8 School Ln
Contact Details: +44 151 705 2292
Liverpool ONE is one of the best hotspots in town, and finding an affordable hotel within the area just hits the spot.
Of all the hotels we’ve tried within Liverpool ONE, what we love the most is the School Lane Hotel. We appreciated the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of our stay, which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.
Apart from that, we were also impressed by their beautifully designed and neatly kept shower. It was such a good space to wash up, unwind, and prepare ourselves for one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in.
School Lane Hotel also occasionally offers great promotions. We suggest checking their website regularly, as they sometimes offer 15% off two-night stays and 20% off three-night stays.
The only downside is that the hotel entrance is hard to find. It isn’t clearly marked, and no signs point to the reception, which makes things confusing and stressful.
100% will stay here again
“Just back from a weekend break here and absolutely loved everything about this hotel. We received a warm welcome from the staff who couldn’t do enough to help. The room was amazing. Clean and modern and so much space. The shower and toiletries provided were amazing and the bed was super comfy. Considering the hotel is right in Liverpool One it was incredibly quiet and I loved the pastries and hot drinks for breakfast that you could eat in or take away with you for the journey home. When I return to Liverpool I will 100% stay here again. Thank you for a fantastic stay.”

Clean and spacious
“My wife and I stayed at the School Lane Hotel again after a very pleasant stay earlier in the year. This second visit didn’t disappoint. It is very conveniently located in the heart of Liverpool ONE area. Somewhat surprisingly given its central location, it is quite quiet. We were on the six floor and had a nice view of St. Johns Beacon. We were warmly greeted by front counter staff and checked into our room. We received a thoughtful and unexpected chocolate bar and card. The rooms while basic, provide everything you need, are clean and spacious. Overall another nice stay and would not hesitate to recommend or book here again.”

2. Premier Inn Liverpool City Centre

Address: 48 Hanover St
Contact Details: +44 151 702 5100
If you’re planning to bring your kids on your Liverpool trip, Premier Inn might be a good choice. One of our friends brought her two kids (aged 15 and under) and loved how they got to stay and eat there for free, as long as they were with paying adults.
And yes, the hotel also offers a breakfast buffet. It’s charged separately from the booking fee, but for £10, you can enjoy a good-quality breakfast with a wide selection of continental food and variations of an English breakfast.
However, if you’d rather skip it, that’s perfectly fine too. Since the hotel is conveniently located within Liverpool ONE, you have a wide range of options to try.
Despite these perks, some guests found it a hassle that the hotel’s check-in machines weren’t functioning smoothly—a common experience among other customers as well.
Ultimately, they had to ask for help. The hotel staff’s responsiveness was relatively slow, which is quite bothersome.
Very comfortable bed
“Stayed here for 3 nights and it was great from start to finish. Very comfortable bed, a very central location. The staff were lovely and very friendly. I lost my phone on the last night and the night staff Dave and a wee young fella “can’t remember his name” were great. They had found it on his walk around the corridor during the night and had put it away safely. I was never as glad to see it as it had our boarding passes and everything on it. I definitely recommend the hotel and the staff and will be booking it again on our next visit.”

Very well placed for easy walk to the docks and onward
“Very well placed for easy walk to the docks & onward. Rooms comfy. Check in slow if you don’t know your way round the machines but a helpful lady was on hand for us. Breakfast – enough to fill but don’t expect appetising fry up.”

3. easyHotel Liverpool City Centre

Address: 47 Castle St
Contact Details: +44 151 305 4350
If you’re in Liverpool for a convenient, worry-free, and enjoyable trip, then easyHotel might be what you’re looking for.
What we like about their service is how they offer a before and after stay luggage storage option, so you’ll be light and worry-free as you walk around the city.
This service adds significant convenience, as the hotel is conveniently located near Liverpool’s popular hotspots. This includes the Albert Dock’s museums, Liverpool ONE, and the James Street Train Station, which is just a two-minute walk away.
Apart from the good location, what makes staying in easyHotel memorable is their incredibly warm and accommodating staff. One of their guests also mentioned that she loved how helpful and attentive they were.
These traits also manifest in their other services. We appreciate the exceptional cleanliness and well-maintenance of their facilities. It’s great that the hotel is pet-friendly too!
However, a downside is that their rooms are quite small and compact. Coupled with this problem is audibly hearing the noise from other rooms.
Wonderful service
“Brilliant service and location in the heart of the city centre and offering exceptional value for money. The service from the reception staff was wonderful; friendly, professional and efficient. They went that extra mile to make sure that your stay was as good as it could possibly be.”

Spotless and well-maintained rooms
“I recently stayed at this hotel and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with fresh linens and towels provided daily. The bathrooms were immaculate, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping everything tidy throughout my stay. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the common areas, which were always clean and orderly. Overall, the hotel met all hygiene standards, making my stay comfortable and worry-free. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and well-maintained place to stay.”

4. The Z Hotel Liverpool

Address: 2 N John St
Contact Details: +44 151 556 1770
For £35 a night, you can stay at The Z Hotel, which is already cheap considering that it’s easily accessible to Moorfields Train Station, music venues, and the iconic Tate Liverpool art museum.
According to their customers, they particularly appreciate the hotel’s shower facilities, which are well-maintained and clean. Additionally, they appreciated being supplied with fresh towels and soap every day.
Guests also enjoy the breakfast options at the hotel cafe, where they can get a delectable sourdough pastry, salads, and hand-stretched 11” pizza, available throughout the day.
We also like their membership perks. These include 10% discounts on room rates and possible room upgrades. We particularly appreciate the complimentary cheese and wine that come with every membership stay.
However, if you need some work done and require Wi-Fi, you may not be able to depend on the hotel’s connection, as it can be unstable.
Additionally, the hotel is situated next to a pub, which can be disruptive at night.
Polite and welcoming staff
“We had an amazing stay at the Hotel, the staff members were very polite and welcoming. What was more fascinating was the location; we could go to most spots within a few minutes. I’m definitely going back sometime💯.”

Ensures clean and functional amenities
“Stayed at the hotel with one of my teenage children for 1 night . It was comfortable and very central. It was clean and functional. Bonus was a very good hairdryer. I had booked a double room with no view, and it was exactly that, a box room without windows. But it was quiet, and we both slept really well. Check-in and check-out were very easy. They do have tables in the entrance area where you can pay separately for breakfast. We did not opt for that. There are lots of places to eat around the hotel.”

5. The Dolby Hotel

Address: 36-42 Chaloner St
Contact Details: +44 151 708 7272
What’s especially charming about staying at The Dolby Hotel is its beautiful view of the River Mersey on one side and the Liverpool Cathedral on the other.
It also takes approximately 13 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Albert Dock Museum or Liverpool ONE. And considering that the hotel offers free parking, we think that’s a good deal.
Maximising the charm of its riverside view, the hotel offers a buffet breakfast, as well as light options for lunch and dinner, for an additional charge. It’s truly a great joy to have delicious food paired with stunning scenery.
Guests shared that they like the cosy and comfortable rooms. Plus, this hotel has the comfiest pillows and mattresses, as many would agree.
However, please note that the hotel has no elevator, so it may be a challenge if you’re booked on a few flights of stairs. Carrying some heavy luggage wouldn’t be ideal.
Always clean and fully stocked
“Second time staying here and honestly I couldn’t ask for anything better. Staff are amazing and super friendly. Rooms are clean and cosy. Beds are clean and extremely comfortable. As a few other reviews mention the bathroom are small but it doesn’t effect your stay in the slightest. They’re always clean and fully stocked. Food is really nice too. We come to Liverpool twice a year for Comic Con and will be using only this hotel from now on. I asked for a dockside room if one was available. They said they will try their best to put us in one and they did. Such an amazing hotel”

Free parking is an absolute winner
“We stayed here this weekend. The free parking is an absolute winner. The locality to the city centre is perfect. Room was clean and ideal size for my wife and I. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bar is well stocked and well priced plus open until 1am. Highly recommended and we will be booking again next time we’re coming to Liverpool.”
