A colleague pointed me toward Will Shaw Carpentry, and I’m really glad they did. Will Shaw, the owner and master carpenter, knows his craft inside out. He delivers high-quality bespoke woodwork with skill and precision.
He is also fully City & Guilds-qualified, DBS-checked, and holds certificates in Furniture Craft and Carpentry & Joinery. He’s also passed the ConstructionSkills Operatives Health & Safety Test.
Will also provide detailed 3D plans and measurements before starting work, so clients can properly visualise the finished pieces. It also allows for additional adjustments, ensuring the results perfectly match their needs.

“I couldn’t recommend Will enough, and to be honest, wish we’d found him earlier on in the process of building our extension, he’d have made the whole process so much easier!
We are in the process of building a double side extension. Our structural engineer wanted large steels to support the extension of the roof which would have cost a fair amount to buy, install and would have looked very unsightly in the room.
After chatting with Will about it, he thought outside the box and came up with a solution that negated the need for it all! Saved us a small fortune and makes the aesthetic of the room look so much better.
His workmanship, professionalism and general demeanour to work with has been top drawer and his attention to detail is spot on.

Ben completed a full garage conversion for us with vaulted ceiling and sky lights, kitchen installation (of which he also helped with supply), full rewire, re-plumb, fitting 2 bathrooms and a full re plaster. He drafted in trusted contacts to supply and fit bifold doors, complete the plumbing and electrical work and carry out all the flooring finishes and was great at overseeing all the work. He worked closely with the building regs inspector to ensure everything met requirements. He made good recommendations along the way such as exposing 2 hidden fire places and moving a loft hatch.
