3D People has earned my respect for 3D printing. I worked with them on a project recently, and they didn’t disappoint.
Their online system made things easier. You just upload your files, choose materials, and they deliver everything directly to you.
The team guided me through their tech choices—SLS versus MJF, PA12 nylon or flexible TPU. They even offer advanced finishes, such as vapour smoothing and dyeing.

I have used 3D People three times now for prototyping a final drive sprocket for an automatic curtain opening unit that went out of production many years ago. I had initially used an FDM process for making new sprockets but the produced parts were too inaccurate and no where near durable enough.
From the initial design file, 3D People have been updating the design file for me then made variant of the sprocket in Nylon12 to enable me to refine sizing and accuracy of the part compared to the original. Their design updates have always been prompt (within 1 working day) and I have valued there expert assistance and advise to date. The parts themselves are well made and accurate to 0.1mm – very helpful for small items! Their small minimum production batch size/cost is very good when prototyping small parts; one of the aspects of their service that originally attracted me.”

“TLDR; They did a great job, are very easy to deal with, and I’m really pleased with the results!
I bought a Hyperpixel Round display for the Raspberry Pi from Pimoroni a while ago. Great display … but it doesn’t come with a case and it’s a really awkward shape. I found files for a 3D printed case from a chap called Printminion online. But I don’t have a 3D printer and have never 3D printed anything anyway – zero skills or capability.
I solved the problem by sending the files to 3D People UK and getting them to print the case for me. It took about a week and what came back is gorgeous. Quality, size, everything are absolutely spot on.
I selected MJF PA12 Nylon printing with the black dyed finish. I didn’t get the parts vibe polished because I wanted the matt effect. I think it looks really good and perfectly offsets the HyperPixel display. Very happy!”

Overall, I was very pleased with the test piece, and the material is well-suited
“I commissioned a test print (70×25×14mm) using SLA 3D Printing with Formlabs Rigid 4000 Resin consisting of bore-holes and a linear cavity. I intend to use such prints for the chassis frame in a small, working model locomotive that needs to be dimensionally accurate. Gear-train shafts and side-frame supports all need to be precisely positioned.
The print dimensions (length, width, height) were very accurate, as was the cavity. The bore-holes were also accurately positioned and spaced.
2mm and 3mm diameter bore-holes were all slightly undersized—about 5% for the 2mm holes and 8% for the 3mm holes. However, this was mitigated by the fact that the material still has some of the soft, malleability of plain tough resin, so it was easy to ream the holes.
The same applies to tapping M1 screws that I wanted to test: it was easy to tap the guide-holes and then fit 1mm screws – as can be done with plain tough resin.
Overall, I was very pleased with the test piece, and the material is well suited for my project.”
