I chose Liverpool Animal Minding based on a friend’s recommendation, and honestly, they delivered from the moment I reached out. They aren’t just a dog-walking service, but they also build a system that fits your lifestyle.
They offered everything I needed, like one-to-one hour walks when my dog needed calm solo time or group half-day outings for an adventurous activity. They even picked up and dropped off right at my door.
Additionally, they offer fun weekend doggy trips to scenic spots such as Otterspool, Hale Lighthouse, and Kirkby Moss.
I love how they handled everything for my dog. Not only that, they also offer house-sitting, complete with the fulfilment of your usual routines, such as setting alarms and eating schedules.
The only downside here is that they no longer offer lunchtime one-hour walks, which was a service I used to enjoy.

“We have been using Liverpool Animal Minding’s services for just over a year now from when our Labrador Harvey was just a puppy and they have been invaluable. Dave takes him out for the morning once a week on days when we have to work long hours and also when we are away on holiday. Harvey absolutely loves his walks with Dave and gets so excited that we can’t even mention the ‘D’ word around him. He cries with excitement when he hears Dave’s van pull up. He comes back absolutely shattered after his walks and takes himself off to bed. Harvey was a handful when he was a young puppy but Dave and Caroline were amazingly patient with him and I have no doubt the time he spends with Dave and the other dogs has contributed hugely to the improvements in his behaviour over the last year. I give Liverpool Animal Minding 5 stars and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Sunnydays Pets impressed me from the very beginning with their focus on caring for small animals through both home boarding and pop-in services.
They guide clients through the initial consultation and continue to support them throughout their stay.
Routines are explained well, as well as the dietary needs and even comfort preferences. Their home-boarding setup provides a safe and comfortable environment for rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets (yes, not just cats and dogs!).
The pop-in service stands out here. For busy pet owners, they offer reliable visits to feed, change bedding, and provide company to your pet. This ensures your pet feels cared for even when you’re away.
Each visit is tailored to the needs of both the owner and the pet, providing peace of mind and confidence that there will be no disruptions to your usual routine.

“Catie provides the highest quality of service and is totally professional and trustworthy. We asked Catie to care for our cats whilst we were away for four days on holiday. Catie was totally reliable and visited twice a day at the times she indicated. We were also updated on each visit on the welfare of our cats which was reassuring. When we returned home our cats were totally relaxed and happy which was due to Catie’s superb love of animals. We would highly recommend Catie’s service and we have already booked Catie to look after our cats in April. Catie even put our bin out without our asking.”

“When I became pregnant with my twins last year I didn’t know how I would be able to walk my 2 yo lab x (after I’d got to a certain size as I couldn’t even get to the end of the road!) , I contacted Catie and the rest is history. She takes Nala out 3 times a week come rain or shine and has not once ever let me/us down. Nala loves going on her walks with Catie and the other dogs and since Catie has been walking her, Nala has massively improved on her lead work . Catie is a lovely person and I know when Nala goes out with her she is in great hands, I would fully recommend her to anybody that needed their pets walking/sitting 👌❤ x”

When I needed to attend a friend’s wedding, I recently hired Ella’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services. She had a wedding chaperone service, which was really a big help.
Ella handled the pick-up and drop-offs from my house, as well as feeding. She even made sure my pup got a little more love and playtime. I actually did enjoy the day knowing my pet was safe and happy.
I also added her walking service, which was great. My dog wasn’t bored at all, and the energy was put to good use. I loved receiving updates on their location and activities while I was partying.
She truly goes above and beyond to make you (and your pet) feel at ease. She even offers trial nights, so you can see how well it works in her home. Everything is organised and well thought out.
However, Ella doesn’t offer overnight boarding at your own house. So, if you need someone to stay in for the night, you’d need to book other sitters.

He is a boisterous dog anyway but his level of excitement when Ella arrives is on another level 😂
Ella is just wonderful when it comes to looking after yourself pets. I have no doubt that she treats all her looked after pets as well as her own.
Vinnie also goes to stay with Ella when we are on holiday (ones that he can’t come on too!) …. It gives me great peace of mind that he is looked after, happy , and getting all the love and attention that would normally get at home. “Our dog Luna has done several stays/boarded with Ella. I highly recommend her! Our dog, Luna, can be anxious around new people however she immediately bonded with Ella; Ella was very professional organising a meet beforehand and talking us through the process.
We were hesitate, as Luna was rehomed with us and can be anxious around new people/in new places, so we worked up the length of time she stayed with Ella. Ella always puts our minds at ease, sending us pictures and updates. I can see how much love and attention Luna gets each time she stays and it’s like she is staying at a family’s house and this is exactly what we wanted! It has really benefitted Luna and given us peace of mind she is well taken care of, as opposed to the traditional kennels (cold and isolated!).
As Luna is young and a bigger breed (GSD), so we were apprehensive she may be a handful for others, and we had several places turn us away, for overnight stays and day-care style due to her being a larger breed! But thankfully nothing phases Ella, she is really inclusive and supports the individual needs of each dog and has wealth of experience and knowledge which is amazing!”

“LiverPurrs have regularly looked after my cats for over a year and I can confidently say they’re the best there is. I’ve used other companies in the past, but now I’ve found them I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They always go above and beyond for my cats and have many times gone out of their way to make sure they’re well looked after while I’m away. I always get the most lovely daily updates with pictures and videos – you can tell how invested and caring all the sitters are. I have one very nervous and shy cat who usually hides when people come over, but she comes out for all the sitters here and you can see how comfortable she is around them, which is very rare for her! “Sharren has been looking after my 2 boys for a few years now when we go on holiday. I feel completely at ease knowing they are being looked after so well and the boys have really taken a shine to her and don’t seem to miss us at all when we are gone (traitors!!!)
I feel the drop ins for cats is so much better than a cattery. they are in their own surroundings with their own comforts.
Sharren has had to give medication aswell while we have been away and this has never been an issue and because the boys are used to her, he let’s her do it.
it’s also good knowing ur home is secured and checked up on so it doesn’t look like the house is empty.
