Hours: Monday–Saturday, by appointment only
Dobie Optimum Fitness is a private training studio in Liverpool offering a highly personalized approach to fitness, with a strong focus on one-to-one coaching and small-group support. The studio is designed to create a welcoming and non-intimidating environment where clients can work on strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing. Its Pilates services, particularly Reformer Pilates, are integrated into a broader fitness and recovery-focused system.
Their Pilates offering includes one-to-one Reformer Pilates personal training, which emphasizes tailored instruction based on individual ability and goals. Sessions are adjusted in real time by trainers to match each client’s physical condition, making them suitable for beginners, injured clients, or more advanced practitioners. This individualized structure is one of the key selling points of their Pilates service.
A major strength of their Pilates program is its focus on low-impact training that improves flexibility, balance, and coordination. The reformer machine provides resistance while reducing strain on the joints, making it especially useful for injury recovery or prevention. This gives their Pilates sessions a more therapeutic feel compared to traditional mat-based classes.
Dobie Optimum Fitness also emphasizes core strength and full-body engagement through Pilates-based movement. This helps improve posture, stability, and overall functional strength that carries over into other activities such as running or weight training. Their approach frames Pilates not just as exercise, but as a tool for long-term movement quality and resilience.
With the studio offering only one-to-one Reformer Pilates personal training and small-group matwork Pilates classes capped at a maximum of seven people, clients benefit from a highly private and supportive environment. The smaller class sizes allow for greater individual attention and coaching compared to larger commercial fitness facilities.
Beyond Pilates itself, the studio blends these sessions with broader wellness services such as personal training and sports massage. This integrated model allows clients to combine Pilates with recovery and strength training under one system, which can improve consistency and results. The holistic setup is particularly appealing for people managing injuries or chronic tension.
Overall, Dobie Optimum Fitness positions its Pilates services as highly customized, recovery-friendly, and performance-enhancing. The private studio setting ensures close coaching attention and a more personalized experience. For clients who want structured, hands-on Pilates guidance rather than a casual class environment, it is strongly aligned with that need.
Great way to spend a Friday morning
I had a reformer Pilates 1 on 1 session with Steven and it was great and challenging. I’ve been doing reformer Pilates for over 15 years mainly in classes and it was good to be watched and corrected with personal supervision and interest. Steven’s a super nice guy too and extremely encouraging. Can definitely recommend without any hesitation. I also had a deep tissue massage with Erik and it was one of the top 5 massages I have ever had. And I have had a lot of massages. Erik has great thumbs and hands that seek out the knots and release them very effectively. The pressure was perfect and he checked in to make sure it was. He is strong and but importantly has great technique. I had a 90 minute massage and felt like a new person afterwards. Great way to spend a Friday morning!!

Erik’s professionalism, skill, and attention to detail
I have been a client of Erik’s for over 3 years, and I can confidently say he’s the best sports massage therapist I have ever worked with. Erik’s professionalism, skill, and attention to detail have massively benefited my training. Whenever I’ve had injuries, his targeted approach has always improved my recovery. If you are serious about your training or just need the best care for your body, I can’t recommend Erik enough. You won’t find a more dedicated or skilled massage therapist!

- 75 Derby Road Huyton Town Centre L36 9UQ
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday 8:30AM–8:30PM | Tuesday & Thursday 6:30AM–8:30PM | Wednesday 7:30AM–8:30PM | Friday 9:30AM–7:30PM | Saturday 8:30AM–1:30PM | Sunday 8:30AM–12:30PM
Stepping into Hot Curl Pilates Studio immediately feels different from a traditional fitness space thanks to its bright interior, disco-inspired vibe, and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The studio has built a reputation as a super friendly environment where both beginners and experienced members can feel comfortable from their very first class.
Their focus is firmly on Reformer Pilates, with a variety of instructor-led classes designed to suit different fitness levels and goals. This includes Beginners classes, All-Levels classes, Intermediate classes, and the standout Hot Curl Special class, which uniquely blends strength training with Reformer Pilates for a more dynamic full-body workout experience.
One of the studio’s strongest advantages is how approachable and accessible the experience feels. The instructors help create an encouraging environment that focuses on progress without the intimidating atmosphere that some boutique fitness studios can have.
Another major highlight is affordability. Hot Curl Pilates Studio is currently positioned as one of the most affordable Reformer Pilates studios in Liverpool, making consistent training far more realistic for students, professionals, and regular gym-goers alike.
Booking classes is also straightforward through their streamlined online system, making it easy to secure preferred sessions ahead of time. Their flexible class pass options allow members to explore different Reformer Pilates styles and class intensities at their own pace. The studio is also continuing to expand, with a brand-new Huyton location scheduled to open next month.
The only slight drawback is that class passes do come with a fixed 6-week expiry period, so members still need to stay reasonably consistent to get full value from their sessions. However, the welcoming atmosphere, affordable pricing, and variety of Reformer Pilates classes make it much easier to stay motivated and return regularly.
Insane first session, perfect for beginners.
Had my first session with Bibs today and wow!! It was insane!! The studio is absolutely gorgeous and Bibs made me feel so comfortable and at ease. There is only 5 reformer beds so her attention is on you at all times which is perfect for beginners! Can’t wait to book onto my next class

Their “Best Pilates Studios in Liverpool” services focus on structured, equipment-based Pilates designed to improve strength, posture, flexibility, and overall body conditioning.
The studio is built around STOTT PILATES® methods, offering reformer, tower, matwork, and cardio-based Pilates sessions. These classes are designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced clients, with an emphasis on controlled movement and proper technique.
One of the key strengths of AVA Pilates Studio is its small-group and private session format, which allows instructors to give more individual attention compared to larger gym-style classes. The studio also focuses heavily on alignment, posture correction, and injury awareness during each session.

The studio also offers private assessments and tailored programmes for clients with specific posture needs or physical concerns. This makes it a strong option for people looking for more personalised Pilates instruction rather than general fitness classes.
Overall, AVA Pilates Studio delivers a high-quality, equipment-based Pilates experience focused on precision, technique, and long-term physical improvement. Its combination of expert instruction, small class sizes, and specialised reformer training makes it one of the stronger Pilates options in Liverpool.
Highly recommend!
I took a class at Ava Pilates with Ladan, and it was truly incredible. It was a proper Pilates class—the kind that’s hard to find these days. Ladan focused deeply on breathing and correct form in every single movement, which made such a difference. I felt supported, challenged, and completely engaged throughout the session. Honestly, the best Pilates class I’ve ever taken. Highly recommend!

4. LV Pilates

Address: LV Pilates, Eden Square, West Cheapside, LiverpoolL2 2AN
Contact: 07709 125196 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday 8:30AM–12:30PM | Tuesday 7:45AM–7:30PM | Wednesday 9:30AM–7:30PM | Thursday 7:45AM–8:00PM | Friday 8:30AM–6:30PM | Saturday 8:30AM–1:00PM | Sunday 9:30AM–12:30PM
Mastering the fundamentals of a new physical discipline requires focused guidance and an environment free from overwhelming crowds. LV Pilates addresses this by strictly capping their group sessions at just five participants.
With their setup, you’re ensured highly tailored attention and a structured progression path. It’s excellent for newcomers!
They even integrate specialised cardio trampolines into the apparatus, mixing high-energy jumping movements with traditional resistance exercises.
During my own visit here, the instructor immediately noticed a slight imbalance in my posture and adjusted the carriage springs on the spot. I was immediately able to see the immense value of such small class sizes.
Another plus is that the central location makes it highly convenient for city workers seeking a fast lunchtime session or an immersive private workout.
You do need to manage your diary closely, though, because the studio enforces a rigid twelve-hour cancellation timeline that results in full charges for late adjustments.
Beginner felt welcome and is now addicted.
I joined the studio 3 months as a complete beginner, unfit and inflexible. I was very nervous but immediately made to feel completely welcome and am now completely addicted. All the instructors are brilliant, great at coaching on form and giving alternatives to suit you. Would reccomend this studio to newbies or those experienced in Pilates 💕

Shifting traditional, slow-paced movements into a highly intense athletic environment completely redefines what a resistance workout can achieve.
Neon Mind & Body Pilates Studio operates under this energetic philosophy. Here, they feature layered exercise frameworks with customizable spring tensions and dumbbell variations to push your stamina.
They enhance this physical intensity by housing a multidisciplinary infrared suite specifically designed for high-temperature mat routines.

Keep in mind that signing up for their fixed reformer packages requires a three-month initial commitment, so it’s best suited for those ready to establish a long-term routine.
Welcoming community, great for all abilities.
Amazing reformer studio. Welcoming community and classes to suit all abilities. Steph the instructor makes you feel at ease and the studio has specific beginner courses if you’ve never tried reformer pilates before. Highly recommend!

Supportive studio cured beginner’s nerves.
I joined this studio in January 2025 for a beginners course on my own and was so nervous as I’d never done anything like Pilates before and wasn’t very confident. Since then, I’ve been doing reformer Pilates for over a year and recently started the hot mat pilates classes, which I’m absolutely loving for the extra challenge. All of the girls are so lovely and welcoming, and Steph always makes everyone feel so comfortable and included. Such a friendly, supportive studio — I’d highly recommend it!

Combining medical knowledge with functional movement instruction provides a massive layer of reassurance for anyone navigating a sensitive physical recovery.
The Body Clinic Liverpool operates as an integrated multidisciplinary care hub, led by two sisters with clinical backgrounds in physiotherapy and podiatry.
Their facility places a heavy emphasis on perinatal health. I love how they have highly tailored prenatal and postnatal sessions alongside their standard classes.
Also, this studio runs its own branded online platform, so you can stream classes and watch workout videos from home. You also gain access to their extensive on-demand video library.
Another aspect I love is how they curate immersive full-day wellness retreats. You’ll find worthwhile bundles that include pelvic health education, creative workshops, and sound baths.
One slight limitation is that their digital platform currently maxes out at intermediate skill levels. So, elite practitioners might find the online video library somewhat lacking in advanced challenges.
Great postnatal support, happy to rejoin.
I can’t recommend The Body Clinic highly enough! I first came to the studio back in 2021 after having a postnatal MOT with Faye, followed by her postnatal Pilates course in the old Matchworks studio. I loved it straight away and carried on with Pilates for a while before taking a break — but I rejoined early this year and honestly couldn’t be happier to be back.

Knowledgeable instructors created a gorgeous community.
The Body Clinic Liverpool is a gorgeous studio, ideal location with plenty of free parking nearby. The classes themselves (both mat and reformer) are fabulous, challenging but always feel amazing after them. I also HIGHLY recommend the pre and postnatal pilates, it kept me strong through both my pregnancies and aided in my recovery postpartum. Faye and Hollie’s knowledge and passion is second to none and the girls have created a gorgeous community here, which makes me excited to attend their classes and have a gab whilst doing some of the spiciest workouts ever 😂🌶️

7. JD Gyms Liverpool Edge Lane

Website:
Address: Innovation Park, Edge Lane, Liverpool, L7 9NJ
Contact: +44 151 317 2380
Hours: Available 24/7
Fitting a workout into a chaotic schedule demands flexibility, which is why having round-the-clock gym access and contract-free memberships is incredibly freeing.
JD Gyms Liverpool Edge Lane pairs this 24/7 availability with an expansive floor of over 250 machines and complimentary infrared saunas included in your monthly fee.
When you pop in here late in the evening, it’s fantastic how you can jump straight into a session without watching the clock.
Beyond the standalone equipment, members can dive into structured, coach-led 45-minute classes if they need a push from a professional.
You can easily supplement your routine here by working with a personal trainer to refine your technique before joining the larger groups.
On the downside, you’ll need to plan your commute carefully, as the parking entrance on Milton Way can be tricky to navigate during peak traffic.
