Equipment Standard: Preference was given to venues utilizing industry-leading resistance brands and modern reformer carriages. We also heavily evaluated the ongoing maintenance and physical cleanliness of the machines.

Insane first session, perfect for beginners.

Had my first session with Bibs today and wow!! It was insane!! The studio is absolutely gorgeous and Bibs made me feel so comfortable and at ease. There is only 5 reformer beds so her attention is on you at all times which is perfect for beginners! Can’t wait to book onto my next class

Mastering the fundamentals of a new physical discipline requires focused guidance and an environment free from overwhelming crowds. LV Pilates addresses this by strictly capping their group sessions at just five participants.

With their setup, you’re ensured highly tailored attention and a structured progression path. It’s excellent for newcomers!

They even integrate specialised cardio trampolines into the apparatus, mixing high-energy jumping movements with traditional resistance exercises.

During my own visit here, the instructor immediately noticed a slight imbalance in my posture and adjusted the carriage springs on the spot. I was immediately able to see the immense value of such small class sizes.

Another plus is that the central location makes it highly convenient for city workers seeking a fast lunchtime session or an immersive private workout.

You do need to manage your diary closely, though, because the studio enforces a rigid twelve-hour cancellation timeline that results in full charges for late adjustments.

Pros

  • Brief walk from Moorfields train station
  • Pay-as-you-go attendance formats
  • Reduced rates on bulk session blocks
  • Adaptive multilevel physical frameworks

Cons

  • Rigid twelve-hour cancellation window
  • Fixed timeframes on purchased bundles

Beginner felt welcome and is now addicted.

I joined the studio 3 months as a complete beginner, unfit and inflexible. I was very nervous but immediately made to feel completely welcome and am now completely addicted. All the instructors are brilliant, great at coaching on form and giving alternatives to suit you. Would reccomend this studio to newbies or those experienced in Pilates 💕

Amazing teacher, challenging yet enjoyable classes.

Favourite place for reformer pilates! Jen is an amazing teacher and her classes are always challenging yet enjoyable! The studio is immaculate and a lovely environment to workout in, the other clients are so friendly too! Highly recommend to regular reformers and anyone wanting to try for the first time!!

Neon Mind & Body Pilates Studio operates under this energetic philosophy. Here, they feature layered exercise frameworks with customizable spring tensions and dumbbell variations to push your stamina.

They enhance this physical intensity by housing a multidisciplinary infrared suite specifically designed for high-temperature mat routines.

Starting a new regimen here feels accessible thanks to their limited introductory courses, which are tightly capped at five participants to prioritise safe form.

Members also benefit from complimentary branded grip socks and a monthly guest allowance for bringing a friend along.

Welcoming community, great for all abilities.

Amazing reformer studio. Welcoming community and classes to suit all abilities. Steph the instructor makes you feel at ease and the studio has specific beginner courses if you’ve never tried reformer pilates before. Highly recommend!

Supportive studio cured beginner’s nerves.

I joined this studio in January 2025 for a beginners course on my own and was so nervous as I’d never done anything like Pilates before and wasn’t very confident. Since then, I’ve been doing reformer Pilates for over a year and recently started the hot mat pilates classes, which I’m absolutely loving for the extra challenge. All of the girls are so lovely and welcoming, and Steph always makes everyone feel so comfortable and included. Such a friendly, supportive studio — I’d highly recommend it!

5. The Body Clinic Liverpool

Website: thebodyclinicliverpool.co.uk

Address: 382 Aigburth Rd, Aigburth, Liverpool, United Kingdom, L19 3QD

Contact: +44 7960 823753 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday & Tuesday 7:00AM–8:30PM | Wednesday & Thursday 6:00AM–8:30PM | Friday 6:00AM–2:30PM | Saturday 7:00AM–12:00PM | Sunday 8:00AM–12:00PM

Combining medical knowledge with functional movement instruction provides a massive layer of reassurance for anyone navigating a sensitive physical recovery.

The Body Clinic Liverpool operates as an integrated multidisciplinary care hub, led by two sisters with clinical backgrounds in physiotherapy and podiatry.

Their facility places a heavy emphasis on perinatal health. I love how they have highly tailored prenatal and postnatal sessions alongside their standard classes.

Also, this studio runs its own branded online platform, so you can stream classes and watch workout videos from home. You also gain access to their extensive on-demand video library.

Another aspect I love is how they curate immersive full-day wellness retreats. You’ll find worthwhile bundles that include pelvic health education, creative workshops, and sound baths.

One slight limitation is that their digital platform currently maxes out at intermediate skill levels. So, elite practitioners might find the online video library somewhat lacking in advanced challenges.

Pros

  • Immersive wellness and pelvic health retreats
  • Dedicated holistic personal care focus
  • Complimentary drinks during seasonal events
  • All-inclusive equipment provided on-site

Cons

  • Digital platform lacks elite difficulty levels
  • Strict zero-change policy for craft materials

Great postnatal support, happy to rejoin.

I can’t recommend The Body Clinic highly enough! I first came to the studio back in 2021 after having a postnatal MOT with Faye, followed by her postnatal Pilates course in the old Matchworks studio. I loved it straight away and carried on with Pilates for a while before taking a break — but I rejoined early this year and honestly couldn’t be happier to be back.

Knowledgeable instructors created a gorgeous community.

The Body Clinic Liverpool is a gorgeous studio, ideal location with plenty of free parking nearby. The classes themselves (both mat and reformer) are fabulous, challenging but always feel amazing after them. I also HIGHLY recommend the pre and postnatal pilates, it kept me strong through both my pregnancies and aided in my recovery postpartum. Faye and Hollie’s knowledge and passion is second to none and the girls have created a gorgeous community here, which makes me excited to attend their classes and have a gab whilst doing some of the spiciest workouts ever 😂🌶️
